Owner Surrender

We realize that there are life situations which force owners to surrender their four legged family member. 

Before you surrender your family member, you may wish to discuss the situation with your veterinarian who may be able to offer a solution. Your vet may also be able to refer you to a dog trainer who can help eliminate unacceptable behaviors.

If you wish us to consider accepting your dog into our rescue, we will need some information from you. You can send the information via email to bret@nbstr.org

1.  Tell us in your email why you need to surrender your dog. 
2.  Your name, address, and telephone number. 
3.  Your dog's name, sex, and age. 
4.  Medical information:  Is your dog neutered/spayed, up-to-date on shots, not up-to-date on shots? 
5.  Temperament information: Bite history, and/or aggression.
6.  You will also need to send us a picture of your dog. 

Once the information is received, you will be contacted by our Intake Coordinator. Our process may take some time. We do reserve the right to refuse any dog for aggression/bite history.
