Dogs need to be rescued for a variety of reasons -- most times, through no fault of their own.  

We are committed to giving them the care and LOVE they deserve.

New Beginnings know that rescue is often the last chance for the dog.

We rescue with the belief that every dog, regardless of age, health, or circumstances, deserves to be loved, cared for, protected, and valued.

New Beginnings Shih Tzu Rescue does not have a physical shelter.  Every dog that comes into our rescue lives in one of our foster homes until they are ready for a home of their own... be that days, weeks, months, or years.

Sometimes a dog enters our rescue and we find there are medical/behavioral issues, which prevent the dog from being adopted.  This dog is placed in our Paws 'N Hands Program and will spend the remainder of it's life happy and loved in a forever foster home.

New Beginnings focuses on finding the best fit for both the dog and the adopting family.

It is a beautiful day when a dog finds his or her very own forever home!

Every person in our rescue is a volunteer and most have their own full time jobs.  This is a labor of love, that we devote our lives to.

We educate the public on the benefits of Spaying and Neutering for your dog, and the benefits of Heart worm Testing, and Preventative.  We also work to help owners with training and care for their dogs.
